What people ask before signing up
How do I create the quote and the PDF?
You add the client, the line items (description, quantity, and price), and the VAT rate. Carqo calculates the subtotal and total, and generates a PDF with your business details and logo — you see it before sending anything, and you can download it whenever you want.
Does Carqo send the emails for me?
You send the quote yourself, in one click, with the PDF attached. The reminders are the automatic part, following the follow-up schedule (3, 7, and 14 days), using the text you've set up in each template.
Does it generate invoices or handle my bookkeeping?
No. Carqo generates quotes (with line items, VAT, and a PDF), not invoices, and it doesn't handle your bookkeeping or file your taxes — you'll still need your accountant or invoicing software for that. Carqo is the tool you use to send the quote and make sure it doesn't go unanswered.
Can I connect my Gmail?
Yes, and it's optional: in Settings you can connect it so follow-ups go out literally from your own account (we only ask for send permission, never read access). If you don't connect it, follow-ups still go out the same way, with your name and Reply-To set to your email.
Do the emails look like I wrote them?
The content does: you decide what they say, with the client's name and quote details filled in automatically. The actual sending happens through Carqo's infrastructure, but in Settings you can set your name (shown as the sender) and a Reply-To address, so if the client replies, it lands straight in your inbox.
Can I edit the follow-ups?
Yes. From the Templates section you can edit the subject and body of each of the 3 reminders, or leave the defaults.
What happens if the client replies?
You mark the quote as accepted or rejected in your dashboard, and Carqo stops sending follow-ups for that quote immediately.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, and no card needed: once you confirm your email you can create and actually send your first quote (PDF + email) for free, with no payment details at all. For unlimited quotes and automatic follow-ups, activate the plan — with the launch promo the first month is completely free (that step does ask for a card, see the next question), and you're not charged anything until it ends. If you cancel before then from Settings, you don't pay a cent. After that, the next 3 months are €9.50/month (half price), and from the fifth month it's the regular price of €19/month.
Why do you need my card if it's free?
We only ask for it when you activate the automatic follow-up plan, never to try Carqo — you send your first quote with no payment details at all. We ask at that step to stop the same person from opening endless new accounts just to get free access forever, so we can offer a genuine full month, no limits, to people who actually want to try it. You're not charged anything during that month, you can cancel anytime from Settings in one click, and if you do it before the month ends, you pay absolutely nothing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, it's a monthly subscription with no lock-in. From Settings there's a button to manage or cancel your subscription whenever you want, no need to email us.
Does Carqo replace a CRM?
No. Carqo focuses on quoting: creating the quote, sending it as a PDF, and following up if there's no reply. It doesn't manage a pipeline, contacts, or sales — you'll still want your CRM, spreadsheet, or Notion for that.
